Synopsis

Call of Duty fanatic gamer develops mental health by portraying the game in real life. Unable to think for himself, his mental illness takes over with no help and he becomes a silent killer.

From this synopsis, we are trying to say that a call duty gamer in his teenage years becomes a helpless victim from mental health and re lives his call of duty persona to achieve satisfaction. The main protagonist which is a male teenager that enjoys playing video games in particular Call of Duty. As for many teenagers this is the norm, however our short film is to show that in some cases this can become more serious. Along with several examples, many teenagers have gone on to commit horrific crimes that came directly from excessive or misuse of playing video games. Our protagonist becomes a victim of mental health through small triggers domestically and in school life. These we have found to be huge factors of many young people with mental health. Furthermore, we want to highlight that mental health is a silent disease that can affect anyone. Many people don't open up about it and therefore cant get help. Without help mental illness is hard to overcome which is why we are raising awareness by showing examples of these crimes and help access in our short film.

Brainstorm

Here is a brainstorm mind map that we have put together when we found the theme of mental health:

Many people have different perception of mental health. However, mental health doesn't mean that the person is mentally unwell. Anyone can still have mental health symptoms but on a lower level. This is still a mental health issue as these symptoms can develop.

Common symptoms of mental health can vary from panic attacks to self harm. Personally, I think panic attacks we can all relate to as at some point we have experienced something of anxiety. Its stopping this development getting into suicidal thoughts. Therefore, everyone has an element of mental health but we all deal with it differently.

People with mental health have little support from the system. Many people dont have an understanding of mental health an its implications. Also, the system dont offer aproapriate help for mental health sufferers. However, most people dont speak out about their mental health therefore its hard to pick out. We feel that the problem is with the lack of knowledge on the issues.

There are also many issues that mental health can come with. Depression and anxiety can be post mental health or lead to mental health. These symptons can be spotted by friends or family and could prevent the progression of mental health and dealing with it.
