Mise en Scene
The location of our short film is predominantly in a house as the film is about a anti social teenager. This location also fits into our genre of thriller as a common location is a house.
The sound of our short film will mostly be diegetic sound as there is a lot of dialogue between the protagonist and either his dad or his friend. Our short film will also include ambient sounds of cars driving by and civilians talking.
The lighting will be reasonably lit as we are using daylight or a flashlight to create a shadow. We choose to use natural sunlight as we wanted our film to be somewhat realistic and the lighting to reflect the protagonists state of mind.
The props of our short film will help the storyline flow as we will have PS4 accessories as a typical teenage boy has a games console in their room. We will also include a computer as most family households own a laptop or a computer.
The costume will contribute with the storyline as most of the characters are in suits or smart wear due to the fact that they attend a sixth form. The rest of the cast will be dressed casual as they are young adults.
The facial expressions in our short film will connote anger and confusion due to our short film being about mental health and how not everybody understands it.
