What have you learned from your audience feedback?

In order to evaluate our product we asked a media student what she thought of our film. This gives us feedback that we can build on if we were to make another short film. It also helps us establish parts of the film could be improved. This gives better knowledge and understanding of media and its conventions.

After watching our short film, do you think it was successful?

75% of our feedback said that they thought our film is successful. This shows that the majority thought our film is successful.

Audience Feedback

We created a questionnaire for four people to give us feedback on our product.

Do you think the film represented the theme of mental health?

Once again, 75% of feedback which is the majority showed that they think the film is representing people with mental health.

How do you think mental health was represented?

They thought that the change in personality showed mental health. We tried to show the progress of mental health and the influence of gaming that would later turn into tragedy in the film. Other said the nature of a death was thrilling as it creates tension whilst watching.

What was your favourite element of our film?

Half of our feedback said editing and the other half said storyline. We were happy with this because despite our low budget the editing was shown to good and effective.

What was the worst element of our film?

Half of the people said acting and the other half said sound. Looking back, we should have bought mic's that we have fitted to the characters whilst they spoke to get better sound for the audience. In terms of acting, hiring an actor would be too expensive so we had to deal with what we had.

Do you think our film portrays modern mental health issues?

This was a split decision which the meant the audience weren't convinced that our film portrays modern mental health issues.

Do you think the film poster and review accurately go with out product?

For this we received very positive feedback as all of our recipients stated that there is a link between the film poster and review and the film. This is positive because this will be easier to advertise and give the right message across.

What could have been done better to link our ancillaries to our product?

Some stated that the colours should be kept the same which we take on board as this will make it easier to the audience to understand the film. Also, one person mentioned to have a distinctive feature which would make our film and ancillaries unique and therefore more rememberable for the audience which makes distribution and marketing better.
